Arkansas State continues to set the trends on 2016 athletes being the first to offer Corner/Safety Tony Mitchell from Spanish Fort, Alabama. Arkansas State fans consider Alabama their pipeline to get top athletes. Fans have long considered the state to be known as Howlabama for the past 4 years while making their annual trip to Mobile for the Godaddy.com bowl.

Tony says it feels great to be able to receive his first offer from such a successful program and such as great school as Arkansas State. He says he is really ready to get to campus and check everything out. Last year, Tony had 103 tackles, 67 solo tackles, 1 interception, 6 pass break ups, 2 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery.

Mitchell is being recruited by Luke Paschall according to Mitchell. Mitchell says he’s considering committing when he makes his visit to Arkansas State.
