Arkansas State is the first to offer 6’6”, 190 pound wide receiver from Dodge City Community College. Jeff George will going into his sophomore year to play for the Conquistadors knowing he has an offer in hand from the Red Wolves. George will look to improve on his impressive numbers from his freshman year. George pulled in 46 catches for 690 yards and 4 touchdowns during his freshman campaign.

Jeff George likes to be considered a deep threat. Deep threats usually help in taking the top off of the defense, get behind them, and take it to the house. That’s what George will look to do if he becomes an Arkansas State Red Wolf.

George says that he is someone who is going to be exciting to watch. He is someone who is going to make the big play. Can anyone think of a quarterback or two on the Arkansas State roster that can sling it deep? Birse or Tabary anyone? Imagine a player that’s quick enough to get behind a Sun Belt Defense and take it to the house. George is the type of player that creates the explosive plays that Anderson is looking for to help run his offense.

George is also receiving interest right now from Cincinnati, Mississippi Valley State, and others at the current time. He’s hoping to decide after this spring or in the summer about where he wants to go. He hasn’t had a chance to meet with the coaches a whole let yet, but he’s looking forward to really getting to know them. George will be a December Graduate and can enroll in time for spring ball.
