Arkansas State has a new Juco Tight End prospect in mind from Snow College. Dalton Fackrell recently picked up his second off from Arkansas State University. The other D1 offer comes from a team the Red Wolves are familiar with and will see up close and personal, Toledo.
Dalton says that he had a great conversation with Coach Bell and that he really liked what he had to say. He was told that he can come in right away and be a contributor for the Red Wolves. For those that remember, Arkansas State lost K. Rains this season due to graduation. Dalton says that he really likes the spread style offense and that he thinks it would fit him perfectly.
Fackrell says that he is impressed with Coach Bell and his track record with tight ends. Anyone remember Eric Ebron, the first round draft pick in 2014 that Bell coached? Fackrell says what Bell can do with tight ends really gets him excited.
Dalton goes on to say that he will be a December graduate and will be able to come on campus after the season in the Fall of 2015. He’s not sure yet about when he’ll make a decision on what college to go to, but it is something that he will talk about with his family.
What kind of player would Arkansas State be getting? Fackrell says that he is someone who is very competitive and confident. He says he will be someone who makes the players around him get better. He is a leader that doesn’t have to say a lot, so he will lead by his actions and his play.
Last Season Fackrell totaled 27 catches on the year, 393 yards and 2 touchdowns. Darion Griswold, the leading receiver for the Red Wolves in 2014, went for 221 yards and 4 touchdowns as a junior. Dalton is looking for somewhere he can come in right away and compete for playing time. He’s looking for the right offense and for a place he feels he can thrive. He is also looking for a coaching staff that feels like a family to go somewhere that on top of everything else receive a great education.
