Recruiting is the lifeblood of any collegiate football program, and many people are already beginning to discuss the Class of 2015 and how good the in-state crop is here in Arkansas.
In my opinion, the upcoming in-state class projects to be as good as the 2006 and the 2008 signing classes from the state of Arkansas. Both classes produced multiple division one recruits who eventually went on to sign contracts in the NFL.
For the in-state Class of 2015, there have been several young men who have already earned offers from Arkansas State, while there are others who still have some work to do. A good showing at camp and/or a solid senior season could help a few more guys potentially land offers from A-State.
In addition to the athletes who have earned offers, the Red Wolves have already landed their first commitment for the class. Dre Greenlaw, a Rivals.com three-star rated defensive back, committed to head coach Blake Anderson shortly after national signing day.
Other in-state athletes with offers include:
Cameron Davis – OT – Bryant
Will Gragg – TE – Pine Bluff
Jamario Bell – DE – Junction City
Ty Storey – QB – Charleston
This is a solid crop of in-state athletes that Anderson and his staff have extended offers to. Several of these young men have multiple offers on the table, to include several who have a host of SEC, Big 12, PAC 12, and Big 10 offers.
As noted earlier, there are others who could potentially end up with offers with a little hard work at camp and in their senior seasons. Some of those athletes include:
Conner Clayborn – LB- Camden Fairview
Carlos Burton – DB -Glen Rose
There is absolutely no guarantee that any of the names mentioned above will end up with offers, but they are athletes that RedWolfReport.com has confirmed have early interest from A-State.
All in all, the Class of 2015 is shaping up to be a good one. If you have the opportunity to attend a game or two of any of the young men mentioned here once football season kicks off, I highly recommend doing so. You never know which one will end up being a star playing on Sunday’s.
