A-State Baseball Honored For Academic Excellence

MOBILE, Ala. (5/21/14) — Thirteen Arkansas State baseball players were honored for their outstanding achievements in the classroom on Tuesday at the Sun Belt Conference’s “Family Night” from Stanky Field on the campus of University of South Alabama.

Five ASU baseball players were recognized for maintaining GPA’s above 3.5 during the past year. Austin BakerKaleb BrownChandler HawkinsAdam GranthamDustin JonesZach Maggio and David Owen were given certificates for their hard word in the classroom.

Derek BirginskeTanner RingBradley WallaceCollin Massanelli Morgan Croft and Hunter Schneider were honored on the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll, which is comprised of student-athletes who maintain a GPA between 3.0-3.49.

In addition, the Red Wolves were one of five teams in the league to obtain a GPA of 3.0 or higher and were recognized for their outstanding team success in the classroom.
