A-State Baseball To Host Fall Prospectus Camp

JONESBORO, Ark. (8/8/14) – The Arkansas State baseball program has announced that registration for the 2014 Tommy Raffo Fall Prospects Baseball Camps is now open. The camp is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 31 at Tomlinson Stadium on the Arkansas State University campus.

The fall prospect camp is designed for high school players that want to continue their playing career at the next level. It is open to players in grades 9-12 and the cost to participate is $125. The camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and includes a t-shirt and lunch.

“It should be a great Labor Day weekend for the entire Arkansas State campus,” A-State head baseball coachTommy Raffo said. “On Saturday, Aug. 30, we have our Red Wolves football home opener and it should be a great day to experience the atmosphere of a Red Wolves’ football game. We have our High School Prospect Camp on Sunday, Aug. 31 and we look forward to spending an awesome time with our campers.”

Raffo along with assistant coaches Anthony EvermanNoah Sanders and pitching coach Tighe Dickinson will instruct the camp while current and past members of the A-State baseball team will also assist with camp instruction.

On-site registration and check-in will take place 30 minutes prior to the start of the camp on Aug. 31. Campers must bring their hat, glove, helmet, bat and suitable baseball attire and catchers should bring their own catching equipment. Tennis shoes will be worn indoors if there is bad weather.
