JONESBORO, Ark. (4/23/14) — The Arkansas State baseball program announced Wednesday that dates have been set and registration is open for the 2014 Tommy Raffo A-State Summer Baseball Camps. Three camps are scheduled in June at Tomlinson Stadium on the Arkansas State campus.
Coach Raffo and his staff will provide instruction at the camps, while current and former Red Wolves’ players will assist in the camp instruction as well.
The camps will offer specialized training designed to improve the campers’ hitting, defensive play and baseball techniques through a variety of drills and game-type settings.
The camps will get underway June 9-12 with a youth camp for players’ ages 6-9. The camps will go from 8 a.m. – noon each day and the cost to attend is $200.
A second youth camp will be held June 16-19 for players’ ages 10-12 and will go from 8 a.m. – noon each day and the cost attend is $200.
The final camp will take place June 23-26 and will include players’ ages 6-12 and will go from 8 a.m. – noon each day and the cost to attend is $200.
The cost of the camps includes all registration fees and a camp T-shirt. Check-in will begin at 7:40 a.m. on the first day of each camp and all camps will be held at Tomlinson Stadium.

Campers should provide their own hat, glove, helmet, bat, baseball pants and cleats. Campers should also bring tennis shoes in the event that the camp is held indoors due to inclement weather. Catchers attending the camp should also bring their catching gear.
